My guests include: <strong>Yosvany Terry (<em>September 22:)<\/em><\/strong>; <strong>David Virelles and Rom\u00e1n D\u00edaz (<em>October 18:)<\/em><\/strong>; <strong>Arturo O\u2019Farrill (<em>November 7)<\/em><\/strong>; and <strong>Michele Rosewoman (<em>November 15)<\/em><\/strong>. Details and links below.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.jazzmuseuminharlem.org\/\">National Jazz Museum in Harlem<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n58 West 129th Street<br \/>\nHarlem, New York, NY 10027<br \/>\nAll sessions 7:00-8:30pm<br \/>\n<strong>NYC: The Afro-Cuban Beat<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Hosted by Larry Blumenfeld<\/em><br \/>\n<span style=\"line-height: 1.5\">While covering New York\u2019s jazz scene for the Wall Street Journal and other publications, Larry Blumenfeld\u2019s working beat increasingly focuses on Afro-Cuban rhythms and traditions, often as expressed in unexpected ways. Since coming to the U.S. in 1999, master percussionist, scholar and composer <strong>Rom\u00e1n D\u00edaz<\/strong> has been mentor to many musicians, key player in several ensembles, a spiritual guide to wide-ranging scene.
